SAYDA believes in the power of good faith, the great capacity of human compassion, and the development of tomorrow's leaders. These core values enable SAYDA to respond to the psycho-social and emotional needs of the youth, and provide the youth with the skills to overcome various challenges in their environment.
The SAYDA value system encourages honesty and communication, with complete transparency, building trust between young individuals and their respective parents, guardians, peers and educators. This encourages the youth, and their family units, towards self-respect, a deep sense of self-worth and sincere respect for others. In this way, the SAYDA mission succeeds and the SAYDA vision becomes that much closer to reality.

TAKING TEENAGERS FROM VULNERABILITY TO VICTORY
• To provide resources that will benefit and enable individuals to enhance their skills and knowledge. E.g. basic computer skills, communication skills, business management skills, etc.
• To establish a place of safety (REHAB) for young victims of drug and alcohol abuse.
• To establish a social youth centre/club, thereby creating opportunities and encouraging the youth towards a more positive lifestyle.
• To create and build networks between adolescents who excel at school and businesses/companies, in order to provide scholarship and bursary opportunities for such students.
• To create opportunities for adolescents to develop entrepreneurship skills.
• To assist individuals in basic self-empowerment skills. E.g. CV-writing, job interview preparation, career guidance etc.
• To provide networking opportunities for the youth who are seeking employment and for the youth who hope to establish their own businesses.
Raising leaders
South African adolescents face a number of adversities, making them vulnerable to many challenges - including delinquency, teenage pregnancy, substance abuse, being lured into human trafficking, depression and suicidality. SAYDA's mission is thus vividly clear.
SAYDA believes in the power of influence and undertakes to ensure that those who are influencing the vulnerable youth are true role models in their professional fields. SAYDA is determined to develop the youth as leaders of tomorrow, by empowering and mentoring them, and creating opportunities for them to connect with skilled individuals. SAYDA aims to be the foot soldiers that
awaken and ignite the great potential in adolescents, by bringing them into contact and dialogue with such individuals who have the necessary skills to advise and equip these young victims of troubled circumstance.
Education for youths
• DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE REHABILITATION - With the ever-increasing amount of youth afflicted with substance abuse, SAYDA believes it to be of utmost importance to provide support services and information sessions to vulnerable youth, empowering them to break away from addictive and self-destructive behaviour. SAYDA is confident that, with sufficient support and funding, their long-term vision of a Vulnerable Youth Rehabilitation Centre will become a reality.
• SOCIAL YOUTH CLUB - SAYDA also has plans in place for a youth club comprising of various ongoing skills (and talent) development programs - including sports, music, poetry, fine arts, and other creative and recreational activities. These programs will nurture the individual skills and talents inherent in each adolescent, giving them the confidence and motivation to embrace a positive and meaningful way of life, and encouraging their peers and family units to do the same.
An empowered youth is an empowered community. This is the foundation for an empowered society. SAYDA is dedicated to uplifting and empowering the youth through these ongoing services and initiatives.
